#2006-1 : 2007 Medicare premiums annunced

Most Medicare beneficiaries will see their monthly Part B premiums increase by 5.6% to $93.50 in 2007, while those with higher incomes will pay premiums between $106 and $162 per month, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

CMS estimates that 4% of beneficiaries will pay the Part B high-income premiums, which kick in for individuals with a modified AGI of $80,000 single/$160,000 married filing joint. For more information click here, Information is also available at http://www.medicare.gov/

The 2007 Part B deductible will be $131. For those who pay a Part A premium and deductible, the amounts for 2007 are $410 and $992 respectively.
