#2005-4 : Some Medicare premiums to rise |

Premiums for physician coverage under Medicare Part B will rise from $78.20 to $88.50 next year, an increase of 13%, federal officials announced Friday. The jump in price is smaller than last years’ 17.4% increase.
Other changes include:
- Part B deductible will increase from $110 to $124.
- Deductible for a hospital stay of 60 days or fewer (covered under Medicare Part A) will increase from $40 to $952.
